JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Investment Administrator is responsible for the professional management and administration of investment subscriptions for Centurion Apartment REIT and Centurion Real Estate Opportunities Trust.    

The Investment Administrator is accountable for the oversight of all aspects of the investment administration process, including the processing of subscription agreements, the delivery of redemptions, distributions, and commissions, the completion of regulatory filings, and the fielding Advisor and Client inquiries to ensure that the established standards of Centurion and its unit holders are realized.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Relationship Development
    Developing and fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  Ensuring proactive timely resolution of Agent and Client concerns.
     
  2. Customer Service
    Professionally and courteously handling all Agent and Client inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns.  Ensuring a high level of professionalism is achieved through constant and consistent attention to Centurion's Vision, Mission, and Values.  Promoting a strong sense of community.
     
  3. Ongoing Operations
    Overseeing the subscription agreement process; confirming that all agreements meet established compliance standards, are addressed within 24 hours, and close within the same month that they are received.  Ensuring that the electronic fund database is reviewed on a daily basis; making sure that all requests are addressed in a timely manner and all pertinent information is transferred into Centurion's tracking systems.  Answering all Agent and Client inquiries; providing related information and forms as required and seeking resolutions to problems immediately.  Preparing redemption requests for approval and processing authorized redemptions according to established policies and procedures.  Monitoring the status and accuracy of tickets entered into Centurions tracking systems using various reports and system checks.  Managing the Cash and DRIP Spreadsheet; calculating and inputting all redemptions as well as overseeing the addition of new tickets.  Ensuring the prompt execution of all transfer agency subscription agreements, redemption requests, and transfer instructions, making sure to review documents for accuracy.  Completing and filing monthly Security Commissions reports, ensuring that all associated fees are paid in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery.
  • Post-Secondary degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years investment administration experience is required.
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership and managerial skills.
  • Exceptional numerical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of MS Office products: Word, Power Point, Excel.
  • Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using relevant information, sound reasoning and common sense.
  • Forward thinking; able to take the initiative in acquiring and implementing skills specific to the position.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely matter.
  • Experience in fund management an asset.
  • Passing the Exempt Market Dealer Representative course exam within 3 months from date of hire is a conditional requirement.
