It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air! We've got some great suggestions on how to celebrate love this year with the special people in your life.

1. Virtual date night

Join your loved ones for virtual Valentine's Day festivities! Schedule a time to cook a meal and enjoy it together (food is the way to the heart, after all)! Gather the ingredients and create a delicious dinner that you can indulge in "together". If cooking isn't your thing, try a game or activity night. Valentine's Day is about recognizing the special people in your life so, enjoy spending time with them (even if it's different this year). To stay on theme, pick a meal or game you love.

2. Movie marathon

There is no better feeling than cozying up on the couch and turning on Netflix! Put on your favourite love-themed movies and grab your snacks. There are many movie options you can choose from whether it's a classic Valentine's Day flick or a recent feel-good movie. Share screens with your loved ones near or far and enjoy sharing a special memory together.

3. Bake something sweet

Do you LOVE baking? Go for red and pink heart-shaped Valentine's themed desserts. Some classic V-Day desserts are cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or chocolate covered strawberries or pretzels! You can swap recipes with your loved ones or drop off your special treats to their doorstep… just remember to keep your distance and wear a mask. Check out some (love)ly recipes from Buzzfeed here.

4. DIY cards and gifts

The best kind of gifts are ones that come from the heart. Create a card or homemade gift for your loved ones this year. You have options to make cards/gifts online and send them virtually. Send a kind note to your loved ones and remind them why they are special to you. A small gesture of kindness will go a long way this Valentine's Day! Canva has some great options and it's free to sign up!
